Pumps
Water pumps are used to move "pump" the water to a location for it to be used. For our purposes we usually pump from the well with either a submersible pump which would be down in the well or a jet pump sitting on the surface to the equipment. Each pump has different advantages and or disadvantages depending on the application. Jet pumps work by creating suction to pull water from the source. Ideal locations for jet pumps are Artesian wells or free flowing aquifers where the water is always moving into the pump so it will never loose prime. Jet pumps loose prime when no water is in the impeller to help the pump create the suction. We offer 3 year extended warranties on our jet pumps.
Submersible pumps work by being "submerged" into the water and push water threw it to the source. Being in the water pushing it submersible pumps are able to create greater pressure than that of equal horsepower jet pumps. We offer 5 year extended warranties on our submersible pumps. Sub drives and Mono drives Create a constant pressure so no matter how high a volume of water you are using ( 3 showers and laundry) if your drive is set for 75psi that's the pressure it will maintain.
